Partnership between Aurora Innovation and LINK Mobility deepens to offer new, customer-friendly communication methods for healthcare center

by Louise Wahlström

Aurora Innovation, SaaS specialist providing customer communication tools for healthcare, and Finnish LINK Mobility have signed an agreement, deepening the existing partnership on sales and service development. As a result, new, more customer-friendly communication channels will be integrated into Aurora Innovation’s teleQ service as customer needs develop.

A nurse coordinating patient communications can see messages from the customer in the same view, alongside contacts from other channels. The aim is that, in addition to text messages, patients can also send pictures or documents to their healthcare provider easily from their phones in the near future.

The companies have cooperated since 2017 on regular text messages.

“I’m very happy about the expansion of this good cooperation. For example, integrating WhatsApp into teleQ would mean that both healthcare professionals and their customers could get yet another flexible communication option. Healthcare centers could decide whether they want to use the WhatsApp integrations and also determine what kind of patient communication it would primarily be used for,” says Toni Kivinen, Aurora Innovation’s Country Manager for Finland and the Baltics.

Currently, 38 percent of the Finnish population has access to communication solutions offered by Aurora Innovation to primary and specialized healthcare. WhatsApp is the most popular quick messaging application in Finland. In 2021, WhatsApp became the most popular social media service in Finland with 72 percent of 18-year-old and older Finns using the application actively.

“It’s a joy to support Aurora Innovation in expanding the teleQ service with new and existing clients. It’s particularly rewarding to help their clients build the basis for more customer-centric and modern patient communications. WhatsApp is going to revolutionize customer communications at healthcare organizations. The service allows automation of customer processes and communications in a way that meets the ever-growing expectations for accessibility and ease of service,” says Immo Salonen, Managing Director, LINK Mobility, Finland and the Baltics

The next goal is to build the first pilot with a client to integrate WhatsApp into a patient communications system.
